Available Options

2mm x 3mm (5/64" x 1/8") Neodymium Cylinder Magnet – N52 Grade

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 2mm diameter × 3mm thickness (Approx. 5/64" × 1/8")
  • Magnet Grade: N52
  • Coating: Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) triple-layer plating
  • Magnetization: Axially magnetized (Poles are on the 2mm flat circular ends)
  • Shape: Micro Cylinder / Rod

Material Description:

Our 2x3mm N52 cylinder magnets provide an exceptional balance of a tiny diameter and a significant 3mm thickness. This "rod" shape allows the magnetic field to project further than a standard disc, making it perfect for recessed sensors or deep-set hobbyist joints. These are the strongest magnets available for this specific micro-volume.

Handling Note: Because these are taller than they are wide, they can be fragile if subjected to side-impact. Always handle with care and avoid snapping them together sideways, which can cause them to shear or chip.

Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Choking Hazard: Extremely small and dangerous if swallowed. Keep strictly away from children and pets.
  • Pinch Hazard: Small but mighty; these can jump to nearby metal objects or other magnets. Keep fingers clear.
  • Medical Safety: Keep away from pacemakers and sensitive medical electronics.
  • Tool Use: We recommend using non-magnetic tweezers to prevent the magnets from jumping to your tools during assembly.

Applications:

  • Advanced miniature modeling (heavy-duty weapon swaps or limb joints)
  • Industrial reed switches and magnetic sensors
  • Precision engineering and DIY electronics
  • Medical device prototyping and lab research
  • Small-scale magnetic latches for delicate boxes
