3mm x 3mm (1/8" x 1/8") Neodymium Cylinder Magnet – N52 Grade

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 3mm diameter × 3mm thickness (Approx. 1/8" × 1/8")
  • Magnet Grade: N52
  • Pull Force: Approx. 0.75 LB
  • Coating: Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) triple-layer plating
  • Magnetization: Axially magnetized (Poles on the flat 3mm faces)
  • Shape: Cylinder / Deep Disc

Material Description:

Our 3x3mm N52 cylinders are a favorite for high-end miniature gaming and precision engineering. The 1:1 ratio of diameter to height creates a very concentrated magnetic flux, making them feel much stronger than thinner magnets of the same diameter. They are ideal for applications requiring a deep, secure hold.

Handling Tip: At 3mm thick, these magnets are less likely to break than ultra-thin discs, but they are still brittle. Always slide magnets apart. If they snap together from a distance, the impact can still cause the plating to chip.

Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Choking Hazard: Small size is dangerous for children and pets. Keep strictly in a secure container.
  • Pinch Hazard: The N52 pull force at this thickness is strong enough to cause a sharp pinch. Handle with care.
  • Medical Safety: Keep away from pacemakers and sensitive medical implants.
  • Electronics: Avoid direct contact with magnetic storage media and mechanical watches.

Applications:

  • Articulation for larger tabletop miniatures and action figures
  • Magnetic sensors and industrial reed switches
  • DIY magnetic tool organization and "hidden" cabinetry latches
  • Advanced 3D printing projects (embedding magnets into parts)
  • Scientific experiments and physics demonstrations
