Available Options

6mm x 1.5mm (15/64" x 1/16") Neodymium Disc Magnet – N52 Grade

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 6mm diameter × 1.5mm thickness (Approx. 15/64" × 1/16")
  • Magnet Grade: N52 – Maximum commercial energy product
  • Pull Force: Approx. 1.27 lbs
  • Coating: Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) triple-layer plating for corrosion resistance
  • Magnetization: Axially magnetized (Poles on the flat 6mm faces)
  • Shape: Disc

Material Description:

Our 6x1.5mm N52 neodymium discs are highly versatile. The 6mm diameter provides a broad bonding surface, making it much harder for the magnet to be "pulled out" of a glue joint compared to smaller diameters. At 1.5mm thick, it remains slim enough to be recessed into shallow drill holes or used in low-profile electronic assemblies.

Handling Advice: Neodymium is brittle. Because this magnet has a wider surface area relative to its thickness, it can crack if allowed to snap onto metal surfaces. Always slide magnets apart and handle with care.

Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Choking Hazard: Small size is dangerous for children and pets. Keep strictly in a secure container.
  • Pinch Hazard: The N52 grade provides enough "snap" to cause minor skin pinches. Handle with care.
  • Medical Safety: Keep away from pacemakers and other sensitive medical implants.
  • Electronics: Avoid direct contact with magnetic storage media and mechanical watches.

Applications:

  • Magnetizing 25mm to 40mm miniature bases (perfect for "hollow" bases)
  • Magnetic closures for medium-sized gift boxes and journals
  • Industrial proximity sensors and Hall-effect switches
  • DIY home organization (magnetic spice jars or lightweight tool racks)
  • Embedding into 3D printed parts for removable panels
