Material Description:
Our 2x2mm N55 cylinders represent the peak of rare-earth magnet technology. Despite their tiny size, the N55 rating offers a noticeable increase in "snap" and holding power compared to standard N52 magnets. The 2mm depth allows for a deeper magnetic reach, making these perfect for triggering sensitive hall-effect sensors or providing a rock-solid hold for the smallest articulated hobby joints.
Handling Tip: At this size and grade, these magnets are incredibly easy to lose. We recommend using non-magnetic plastic tweezers for placement. Because they are N55, they are even more brittle than lower grades; avoid letting them snap together to prevent shattering the core.
Warnings and Safety Information:
- Severe Choking Hazard: Extremely dangerous if swallowed. Keep strictly away from children and pets.
- Medical Safety: Maintain a safe distance from pacemakers and sensitive medical implants.
- Storage: Store in a secure, labeled container to prevent accidental loss or ingestion.
- Electronics: Safe for most modern electronics at a distance, but avoid direct contact with magnetic storage media.
Applications:
- High-torque micro-robotics and nanotech prototypes
- Articulation for ultra-fine gaming miniatures (28mm scale and smaller)
- Precision industrial sensors and micro-switches
- Bespoke jewelry closures and hidden magnetic fasteners
- Medical research and laboratory magnetic field demonstrations
